  • Sponsored by Modesto Downtown
  • Name changed: Club moved north for a place to meet. Location moved to north Modesto.
  • Why: Monday Nghts
  • Designated for people that could not make morning or noon meetings. Ie: Judges, attnys, school and single or small business owners.
  • Sponsored the Riverbank Rotary Club: 1983
  • Les Knolls 1971-1972 joined the Riverbank club from Modesto North Rotary in order to assist in starting the Riverbank faction.
  • Modesto North Rotary had as many as 65 members.

ADDITIONAL HISTORY

During Dr. Sue year as our club president in 2013-2014, we restarted our club’s International project after a very long hiatus. Last year we donated the Oxygen concentrator to Kokka Hospital in Lumpang, a city in the northern part of Thailand. This year with the help for coordination from Thoen Downtown Rotary club , District 3360 in Thailand, we were able to join force with 14 Thai Rotary clubs in district 3360 for distribution of 2,100 mosquito nets for people in rural areas of northern Thailand.
